SILK BREEZE DRESS
We are proud to announce this is one of our own Made by TUG up-cycled pieces.
This handmade silk dress comes from a dressing gown made in the 40s, which unfortunately was not in the right conditions to sell. We carefully unstitched it and saved the usable pieces. They were then put together again making sure to use as much of this precious fabric as possible, while making the most of the bias cut.
This one of a kind slip dress is in fact designed to be perfectly adjusted to several different body shapes thanks to a big drawstring at the back. The thin straps are in fact crossed at the back and can be pulled to adjust to your body, adding a gorgeous gathering around waist and hips. Make sure to be gente when pulling.
You can wear it tighter or loser, you chose which fit you prefer. The gathering at the back will also add a more dramatic volume to the side tail: it's such a pleasure to see it floating around.
One last touch we love is the side slip: deep yet not too provocative. This is the magic of fashion design we are proud to witness: a piece meant to stay in the bedroom, is now alive in a totally different context and with a totally different soul. We hope you enjoy.
